Director of Business Development
The Opportunity:
The Director of Business Development role is a key Auxo client-facing representative, who will be responsible for managing client relationships and growing client revenue through the generation and management of new customer leads for Auxo clients. A successful candidate is sales-focused and strategic, skilled at building relationships, demonstrating value, and driving revenue growth. As a Director, you will collaborate with client founders, sales executives, product managers, marketing professionals, pre-sales engineers, client success staff, and other sales and support team members.
What You'll Do:
- Be positioned as a business partner of the client’s organization and an extension of their team
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the client’s overall business, customer base, value proposition, and future plans
- Design and execute a strategic sales plan for each client relationship that is focused on growing client revenue through new pipeline generation
- Independently lead and complete all aspects of the sales and business development process, from prospecting to contract execution
- Hit sales targets
- Develop and strengthen relationships with clients through proactive touchpoints and regular reporting to support high retention and satisfaction rates
- Work with the client’s cross-functional client team members, including founders, executives, product managers, marketing professionals, pre-sales engineers, and client success staff to refine sales strategies and improve win rates
To Qualify for the Role, You Will Have:
- A bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 5 years of client-facing sales experience selling professional services, tech-enabled services, and/or technology solutions (SaaS) preferably within the financial services industry (investment banks, private equity, hedge funds, real estate)
- Track record of hitting sales targets

- Polished public speaker/presenter, with executive presence and ability to both inform and persuade
- Ability to travel to meet with clients and prospects as well as attend conferences and other events
- Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new Auxo initiatives and changing client needs
- Experience supporting effective marketing and brand awareness campaigns
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Understanding of the financial services industry (desirable)
